Spreuerhof Street
You are standing in front of the narrowest street in the world! The street was included in the Guinness Book of Records in 2007. At its narrowest point, the opening between the houses is only 31 cm wide – a typically Swabian record, because the Swabians are known for their modesty. The lane together with the houses you see here was built after the great conflagration of 1726, which destroyed most of the city. As the street is on municipal land and is a public thoroughfare, the record is quite legitimate. The houses of Spreuerhof Street are idyllically lined up along the side of the Spreuerhof.
